Why You'll Love It
1. The Space – This King Suite sits on the villa's top level, with a private en-suite bathroom and a jungle-facing balcony of your own. You'll also have access to a screened-in outdoor kitchen — shared with one other King Suite, rarely busy, and a great spot for a relaxed meal or evening drink in the jungle air.
2. Daily breakfast, your way - Four beautifully situated restaurants each offer between 2–5 complimentary curated menu options. Try a different spot every morning to discover new corners of the island and support our favourite local cafés.
3. Concierge support at no extra cost - We help arrange tours, boat trips, surf lessons, chocolate farm visits, and restaurant reservations with vetted local guides. A digital guidebook and printed copy are both provided.
4. Thoughtfully stocked - Beach towels, surfboards, and snorkel gear for nearby breaks; reusable water bottles; a rainy-day umbrella; bathrobes; hotel-quality linens; a well-stocked coffee station with locally roasted coffee; eco-friendly toiletries in refillable containers; and a fairly priced mini-bar.
5. Light housekeeping every 2–3 days, with linens refreshed every 5 days on longer stays.

Sustainability at Heart
We care deeply about the land we call home. Casa de Mono runs on rainwater catchment systems, offers refillable toiletries, and minimizes single-use plastics. Our breakfast partnerships help support our local island cafés and restaurants, and we prioritize local guides and services when helping you plan your adventures.

Good to Know – Please Read Before Booking
We want every guest to love their stay. To help you decide if Casa de Mono is the right fit, here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Noise & quiet hours. Traditional hardwood construction means sound carries, especially to the suite below, so this stay suits respectful, quieter guests, particularly in the evenings and early mornings. You may also hear everyday neighborhood activity and the natural rhythm of island life. Across the road is a popular beach bar/restaurant with a pool, offering easy access to food, drinks, and swimming, and occasional live music on weekends or special events. White noise machines are provided for a more restful sleep.
2. Spacious & Family-Friendly: Perfect for couples, friends sharing a bed, or small families. Children are welcome, but please be mindful of noise as sound may carry to the suite below. An additional $20 p/night applies for children requiring their own bed and breakfast. Please let us know in advance if extra bedding is needed.
3. Jungle Living: Geckos, butterflies, birdsong, and the occasional curious insect are part of the experience — mosquito netting above the bed plus A/C and ceiling fans keep things comfortable. Bats occasionally pass through the roof space, a natural part of life in this tropical setting. If insects aren't your thing, this may not be the right fit.
4. Shared Kitchen Space: The outdoor kitchen is shared with one other King Suite, fully equipped and mosquito-screened.

Our Philosophy
Casa de Mono grew out of years of travel — and everything we loved, missed, and wished existed on the road went into building it. It's the kind of place we love to stay in ourselves. If that resonates, we think you'll love it too.
Your island paradise escape awaits.
