Why You'll Love It
1. The Space – Outdoor living first
Though the indoor space is compact, it’s cozy, bright, and intuitively laid out, with everything you need and nothing you don’t — including a fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioned bedroom, and private bathroom. Most of the living happens outside beneath the main villa, where a covered patio creates a cool, shaded retreat. Here you’ll find a large dining table, relaxed seating, and a hammock, surrounded by lush gardens and the sounds of the jungle.
2. Daily breakfast, your way
Four beautifully situated restaurants each offer between 2–5 complimentary curated menu options. Rotate spots each morning and discover new corners of the island while supporting our favourite local cafés.
3. Concierge support at no extra cost
We help arrange tours, boat trips, surf lessons, chocolate farm visits, and restaurant reservations with vetted local guides. A digital guidebook and printed copy are provided on arrival.
4. Thoughtfully stocked
Beach towels, surfboards, snorkel gear for nearby breaks, reusable water bottles, a rainy-day umbrella, hotel-quality linens, A/C, ceiling fans, a well-stocked coffee station with locally roasted coffee, eco-friendly toiletries in refillable containers, and a fairly priced mini-bar.
5. Light housekeeping every 2–3 days
Freshened regularly to keep your space comfortable, with linen changes every 5 days on longer stays to reduce environmental impact.
⸻
Sustainability at Heart
We care deeply about the land we call home. Casa de Mono runs on rainwater catchment systems, offers refillable toiletries, and minimizes single-use plastics. Our breakfast partnerships support local island cafés and restaurants, and we prioritise local guides and services when helping you plan your adventures.

Good to Know – Please Read Before Booking
We want every guest to love their stay. To help you decide if Casa de Mono is the right fit, here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Noise & sound travel
Traditional hardwood construction means sound carries between levels and from nearby spaces. You may hear footsteps, voices, wildlife, and occasional music from the local beach bar and pool across the road, which sometimes hosts live music on weekends or special occasions. White noise machines are provided for a more restful sleep.
2. Perfect for 2
The apartment is designed for a maximum of two guests and is best suited to adults. Children are welcome, but please be aware that the compact layout doesn’t allow space for a crib, and potential noise from the apartment above may be disruptive, especially for light sleepers.
3. Jungle living & insects
You’ll be fully immersed in a tropical jungle environment, and insects are part of daily life here. Despite screens, sealing, and regular maintenance, you may still encounter bugs particularly during wetter months. We do everything possible to manage this, but it is an unavoidable part of the climate and setting.
4. Compact indoor space
The apartment is small but well-designed for two. If you prefer large indoor living areas, this may not suit your style — but if you enjoy outdoor living and being close to nature, you’ll feel right at home.
⸻
Our Philosophy
Casa de Mono was built from years of travel — shaped by everything we loved, missed, and wished existed on the road. It’s the kind of place we’d choose to stay in ourselves. If that resonates, we think you’ll feel at home here.
Your island paradise escape awaits.
